Goncalvez Wins Again in Phoenix

Phoenix , Arizona , December 6, 2009

Jorge Goncalvez kept his winning ways going by winning rounds two and three of the Formula Mazda Winter Series Championship held this past weekend at the famed Phoenix International Raceway. After winning the first round at Infineon last month only to be penalized one position for a jump start, Goncalvez wasted no time getting up to speed on a track that he has never been to and roared to his second consecutive pole position.

As the green flag waved, Jorge paced with extra caution so there would be no doubt about his start this time and by the end of the first lap Goncalvez had a commanding lead.   After eighteen laps Jorge received the checkered flag for his second win of the Formula Mazda Winter Series. Round three was a mirror image to round two as once again Goncalvez secured the pole position going even faster and once again at the end Jorge had yet another victory and fastest race lap. This was a just reward to prove that Jorge's win at Infineon had nothing to do with his start.
